About the Speaker

Elizabeth Chan (陳曉彤) is a Registered Foreign Lawyer (England and Wales) at Tanner de Witt based in Hong Kong, specialising in international arbitration, litigation and restructuring and insolvency. She has worked in arbitration at Allen & Overy (Hong Kong), Three Crowns (London), and Herbert Smith Freehills (New York and Hong Kong). She is ranked as a Future Leader of Who’s Who Legal Arbitration (2022-2024) and the Legal 500 Arbitration Private Practice Powerlist: UK 2022 and South Asia 2023.

 

Edward Taylor is a partner in Shearman & Sterling’s International Arbitration practice based in Hong Kong. He represents and advises companies, States and State-owned entities in commercial and investment treaty disputes. His practice includes disputes related to energy, infrastructure, joint ventures, M&A, private equity, TMT, digital assets and real estate.

Edward is dual-qualified in Hong Kong (solicitor) and England and Wales (solicitor advocate).  He is a Fellow of the  Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (FHKIArb) and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). Edward is featured in Legal 500 for international arbitration in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

 

Zach Li has fifteen years of experience in advising clients on valuation, economic loss and accounting issues, primarily in the context of litigation, arbitration and expert determinations. His range of experience includes investor-state disputes, post-acquisition disputes, shareholder disputes, valuation of businesses and loss of profit claims. 

Zach leads the dispute and valuation practice for AlixPartners in Hong Kong, working together with colleagues and clients in the APAC region.

 

Eddy Lee has close to two decades of experience providing expert financial advice and specialises in the assessment of complex damages in cases of litigation and international arbitration. He has been appointed both as a valuation and an accounting expert on numerous occasions and has testified both in the Singapore High Court and in commercial arbitrations. 

Eddy has been identified by Who’s Who Legal as a “Future Leader” in its global listings of the leading expert witnesses active in international arbitration.

Eddy leads the disputes and litigation practice for MDD Forensic Accountants in Asia, where he works closely with teams based in Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Singapore.
