Introduction
The 15th Edition of The Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court – CIETAC Chinese (Mainland) National Rounds (the “Moot Court”) tentatively offer 24 spots for participating teams on a first come, first served basis. Teams registered after the 24th will be placed on the waiting list for potential vacancies.
The registration for the Moot Court will officially begin at 10:00 on 7 March 2023 and will close at 23:59 on 19 March 2023.
The Organizer will form a Grand Panel for the Final, which is composed of Dr Sabine Konrad, founder of the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court and Partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockins LLP, The Hon Geoffrey Ma Tao-li, GBM, SC, former Chief Justice of the Court of Final Appeal of the Hong Kong SAR, Professor Anselmo Reyes, CIETAC arbitrator and Judge of the Singapore International Commercial Court, Professor Jingxia Shi, CIETAC arbitrator and Professor of the Renmin University of China, and Ms Teresa Cheng Yeuk-wah, GBM, GBS, SC, JP, CIETAC arbitrator and former Secretary for Justice of the Hong Kong SAR.

If you are passionate about international investment arbitration moot courts and wish to experience a first-class moot court competition; have a good command of English and wish to enrich your international arbitration experience; are willing to ensure sufficient time to diligently fulfil your duties as Arbitrator. You are sincerely invited to join us in this Moot Court as arbitrator, to simulate arbitration hearings with teams from across China and share your invaluable practical insight!
Coach- Matching Scheme launches Now
Aiming at easing the nerve of the students to participate in the Moot Court and providing a platform for them to dive deep into relevant subjects further, we are rolling out this Coach-Matching Scheme. The Scheme is to recruit senior lawyers, arbitrators, and academics to serve as external coaches for the participating teams. Coaches will be randomly assigned to participating teams, subject to the arrangements by the Organizer.
