Hong Kong Arbitration Law Reform

On 9 October 2002, Robin Peard JP, Chairman of the Committee on Hong Kong Arbitration Law, exchanged views gave a briefing to members of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (East Asia Branch) on the recommendations made in the Draft Report of the Committee on Hong Kong Arbitration Law, which would be submitted to the Secretary for Justice after the consultation period. It was noted that the recommendations of the Draft Report would substantially change the landscape of arbitration in Hong Kong, upon implementation.
