HKIArb Articles for Website and ADR Magazine

The new HKIArb Council met with the Secretary for Justice on 19 January 2006 to discuss matters concerning the arbitration and ADR communities. The President, Mr. Raymond Leung, reported that, following the newly signed cooperation agreement with the Wuhan Arbitration Commission, there had so far been some 20 cooperation agreements signed between HKIArb and the counterparts in Mainland PRC and the region. Also, present at the meeting was Mr. Robert Allock, Solicitor General, and Mr. Stephen Wong, Deputy Solicitor General.

Earlier that day, for promoting arbitration and fostering cooperation, the President of HKIArb also hosted a lunch meeting with the members from law makers, user communities and professional bodies.
